Kindred Gift Guide | Favorite Things

Yay, it’s finally here! The last Gift Guide with my personal favorites — I am so excited to share with you! But full disclosure … I totally over-extended myself with these guides this year. What was I thinking attempting to do not one, but FIVE gift guides on my first go. What a rookie, ha! But do you want to know the BEST part about this Gift Guide?!? We will be culminating this season of thankfulness with an amazing giveaway. Yep, that’s right, and there will be not one but THREE prizes from THREE MAKERS below that will all go to one lucky winner!!! I am so stinking excited. And these items are good, y’all, like I want them all for myself! I will reveal all of the details on Black Friday via Instagram, so be sure to follow along there for how to enter. Now, for all the pretty things …

Standing Braid Sculpture

What I Love

  1. Katie Gong is an artist & furniture maker out of California, and she is also a mama!

  2. This standing braid sculpture, like her other steamed wood pieces, is organic and almost visceral in its movement. It is on my personal Wish List this year!

  3. I love that she has large, collectable installations, but also offers these smaller pieces at a more accessible price point.

Start All Over Again Print

What I Love

  1. Kristen Abbott’s artwork is created from deep, emotional responses to life experiences, and that depth of feeling is immediately apparent in her artwork.

  2. She is a Denver artist, a fellow toddler mama, and has a become a special friend.

  3. This work in particular is special because it is part of a new Prints series Kristen just released. She is now offering limited edition prints of certain favorite pieces, available on two types of paper or even stretched canvas! Once these prints sell out, they will not be available again, so if you are eyeing one don’t delay!

Leather Apron

What I Love

  1. Read about my love for Gathre in this post!

  2. I love this apron because the wipeable leather means wiping it down instead of having to wash it after each wear.

  3. I also love that it slips over your head easily (no tying!), and even has pockets!

Book of Psalms

What I Love

  1. Alabaster Co. is one of my favorite company discoveries of this year. As a company, they align with Kindred’s values PERFECTLY, which is why I am thrilled to be partnering with them on a coupon code right now for 10% off your entire order with code KINDRED10!

  2. “Beauty matters in our understanding of who God is.” — This is part of Alabaster’s What We Believe, and I couldn’t agree more. There is a reason why this is “The Bible Beautiful”. It integrates thoughtful text & spacing with unique and engaging imagery to elevate the Bible-reading experience.

  3. I have gifted this Book of Psalms several times this year, and am hoping to finally own one myself. It has been highly praised & reviewed!

Pressed Leaf Necklace

What I Love

  1. Mary Frances Flowers is my youngest sister, and an amazingly talented jewelry designer out of Raleigh, NC!

  2. Mary Frances is a storyteller, and it shows in the thoughtful designs & attention to details in each of her pieces. “We believe every piece has a story to tell. What’s yours?”

  3. This necklace in particular is one of my most favorite from her new Anniversary Collection, celebrating 5 years of business. The hand carved leaf detail, unique emerald cut shape, and gorgeous cable chain — I love it ALL!!

Homebody Sweatshirt

What I Love

  1. You may already be part of the #cljsquad. For those of you who aren’t, Proper Tee is the apparel, etc. line from the brilliant minds of Chris Loves Julia, a husband + wife DIY master duo with a cult following on IG.

  2. What I love about this sweatshirt is pretty self-explanatory — it’s cozy, cute, and totally me! ;) Also on my personal list this year!!

Peace Bells Set

What I Love

  1. Juno Pottery is a one-woman shop out of Asheville, NC, run by ceramicist (and fellow mama of 3) Jennifer Seifert.

  2. I stumbled upon Juno Pottery randomly somehow on IG and am SO GLAD I did. I want every single thing her hands make, these peace bells being item one.

  3. I specifically love the neutral glazes, yet gorgeous texture on her pieces. Each piece is a practical, useful object, but is also beautiful standing alone, which I find so valuable!

Leather Pouf

What I Love

  1. Woven Nook has taken social media by STORM with their high-quality, on trend pillow designs, offered at SUPER affordable price points. It is also a woman-run company out of Utah!

  2. I own several pillows and one of their cotton pom pom blankets, and the quality of everything is top notch. That is why I am THRILLED that they are now offering genuine leather Moroccan poufs! I am hoping for one for our living room this year!

I am hoping for two of these “favorite” items to live in this space soon!

What is on your list this year? Please tell me below! Wishing each of you a peaceful & happy Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, and a lovely start to the joyous Christmas season!
