Thea's Bathroom

I have been wanting to gut our upstairs bathroom literally since we bought the house over 5 years ago.  Granted, I picked the WORST time to start the renovation [1 week before my parents came to visit for Thea's 1st birthday].  Yup, that's when I decided to take a crowbar to the old shower tile.  What a dumb, dumb move - and my husband will never let me forget it!!  HOWEVER, even though we still have to finish the board and batten on the walls, the bathroom is now looking a bazillion times better.  Tub surround is tiled to the ceiling, new vanity and faucet are installed, and new towels and bath mat have been purchased.  What a HUGE difference on a very tiny budget!  So while I wait for walls to get finished so I can take final pictures, here is my mood board for the space and a little sneak peek :)

I am normally NOT a pink person, but something happens when you have a baby girl.  All of a sudden I think she looks so stinking adorable in blush and coral pinks, and so I become a pink person.  Ha!  Seriously, though, I do LOVE that "Whatever is Lovely" print by Lindsay Letters, based on Philippians 4:8 -- 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 

This is what I want my daughter to see every day, and it is a great reminder for guests using her bathroom as well [not to mention it's just pretty].  I love the flourishes of the print against the other geometric elements [like that gold bud vase I scored from West Elm for $5]!!  I am excited to share more photos once we get around to finishing the space!!  What projects are you working on around your house?
